ARE KIDS WELCOME?
Absolutely! We are family friendly until the live music starts (8pm weekdays & 9pm on weekends). We even have step stools for junior wizards so they can reach the games. When we switch over to a live music venue format all patrons must be 19+ to stay.

DO I NEED I.D. TO STAY FOR THE SHOW?
Absolutely! You MUST have phsysical identification proving you are over 19 years of age. We are super super strict about this policy. It’s simple…. just bring some I.D. (NOT A PICTURE OF ID ON YOUR PHONE) and avoid the disappointment of being turned away at the door. 

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Interac® Debit, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Apple Pay/Google & Cash.
We have an ATM & Coin Machine on-site.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR COAT CHECK?
We don’t have a Coat Check :)

PARKING & STUFF?
Best place to find parking is along our cross street - Sunnyside. If you are down with public transit, the #6 & #7 stops right in front of our door.

DO YOU RENT HOUSE OF TARG FOR PRIVATE FUNCTIONS?
We sure do. Visit our Party Bookings page for rates.

HOW MUCH DO THE GAMES COST
General rule: Classic Arcade Machines = 25 cents & Pinball = $1
Prices are marked on the machines, do some exploring.

DO I NEED TO BUY TOKENS?
All of our machines use standard Canadian coins. If you need to convert your paper money into coins just use our magical change machine located next to our ATM.

WHAT’S GOOD ARCADE ETIQUETTE?

1. Never put a drink on a machine (electricity and liquids are not pals). Use the cup holders instead. Putting your purse or jacket on top of a machine is also a huge faux pas.

2. Respect the machines. Slamming your fist on a pinball machine out of frustration is dangerous & it makes you look like a dork.

3. Respect Others. Don’t hog the games. Take a look behind before playing again to see if someone else is waiting to play. You can even invite them to join you for a game. Have Fun and make new friends.

IS YOUR SPACE ACCESSIBLE?
Unfortunately we would not be classified as accessible. We are located in a basement with a steep staircase and our bathrooms are too small to accommodate most wheelchairs. Our dream for the future is to find a ground level location that could be 100% accessible but until that day happens we will do our best to accommodate any special requests.

WHAT TIME DO THE CONCERTS/SHOWS START?
During the week we start charging admission for Live Concerts at 8PM & on weekends it’s 9PM. 

HOW MUCH ARE THE CONCERTS/SHOWS?
It depends on who is playing, please consult our show listings for prices.

IF I’M THERE BEFORE THE SHOW DO I STILL PAY THE COVER?
Yes. If you are going to stick around for the show you will be required to pay the cover and get a stamp. That’s how these hard working musicians pay for gas!

WHAT KINDS OF BANDS PLAY AT HOUSE OF TARG?
It changes from nite to nite - Rock, Metal, Punk, Indie, Country, Puppet Shows. Consult our calendar.

I HEARD IT IS LOUD THERE. WHAT’S THE DEAL?
Some consider our Punk & Metal shows to be loud. That's the nature of those music genres. We always have inexpensive ear plugs available. Best advice is to check the listings before your visit.

Nope, we are a restaurant & serve world famous handmade perogies.... we can't even imagine what other kinds of food you would want eat :)
