For 10 consecutive years our pal Scotchy & The Canadian Legion Eastview Branch No 462 have organized annual benefit concerts for Veterans in need at the Dominion Tavern. For this 10th anniversary instalment House of TARG we will be added as a second venue & we are stoked to be part of this worthwhile tradition. The main purpose for putting together this annual event is to raise funds for Veterans, their wives, families or widows to assist in the purchase of winter clothing, eye glasses, canes, service dogs, etc...; and secondly to raise awareness among a younger generation and provide a link within the community for all.
The 10th Annual Remembrance Day Canadian Legion Benefit Show(s) will be held at The House of Targ (1077 Bank Street) Friday, November 7th and at the Dominion Tavern (33 York Street) on Saturday, November 8th with doors opening at 9 pm. This year’s entertainment will feature The Sons of Scotland Pipe and Drum Band, Hearts and Mines, Four Stroke, The Scally Cap Brats, Slumlord, Lindbergh Babies and introducing Outrigger. In addition to what we take in from donations at the door, we also have fundraising auctions and raffle prizes donated from local businesses with all proceeds going to our worthy cause.
