This evening promises to broaden your musical bandwidth. A must for all ears that have eyes for exploration.
DÉVAH QUARTET (T.O. Prog Rock String Quartet)
To call Toronto's Dévah Quartet a 'string quartet' would be a boldface lie. Dévah is comprised of Emily on electric violin, Sharon and Moira on electric 5-string violin/viola hybrids, and Liza on electric cello. Dévah works and records with drummers Mike Vanderhule of Y&T. SUPER HEAVY!!!
ORIENTEERS (OTT Hypnotic Folk)
A TARG favourite returns to the arcade. Tom Thompson's weeping pedal steel will offer all listeners an open-ended ticket to flotation and suspended animation. All aboard take the trip!
ZERO DAY REAPERS (Ott ELECTRO PUNK)
Sex, computers and other compulsions sum up what Ottawa-based electro-punk quartet Zero Day Reapers is all about. The band was formed in 2015 by frontlady and lyricist Tanya Janca, known for tearing up stages near and far (both as a solo act and with bands such as Couchwrecked and Eugene & the Eugenics), and giant guitarist Godwin Daniel (also of The Faux Tragic). In an effort to break the universe, Jean-François Brown (bass/attitude formerly of Les Moindres) and Daniel Ryan (guitar/blips and bleeps, also of QQDLM) were added to the lineup, bringing solid basslines and eclectic sounds to the mix.
