Loud & Messy. They released their debut album Sore on October 9, 2015 through Partisan Records & Buzz Records. It met with critical acclaim. Katie and Liz met when they were 14. They started writing music together after they had graduated from high school.
11pm - THE DIRTY NIL- JUNO NOMINEE
The Dirty Nil are a heavy, spasmodic Rock band. They bring influences of garage, punk and hardcore into their loose, unhinged style. Luke Bentham's grizzled vocal delivery is backed by ear-shattering guitar noise, concussive drum propulsion and thundering bass lines. Their official bio sums up the band's ethos with a simple thought, "The Dirty Nil play rock and roll -- cause they couldn't do a damn thing else if they tried."
10:15pm - EXPANDA FUZZ (Ottawa post-punk)
Expanda Fuzz is a caustic homing device for wayward spirit animals. The songs are a dark cuisine of droney hooks, garage spunk and muddy pop, all crushed with a Velvet Underground spirit, Helium flavour and Suicide daydream. Features Chris Page of Camp Radio! Alright!
