A WARM THANK YOU
We had hundreds come together at the House of Targ’s 2nd Community Clothing Swap held on Sept. 17, 2017. We'd like to give a special thanks to you all for backing our efforts to support families in need in our community.
A warm thank you for your donations and for supporting The Ottawa Food Bank! Thank you very much for your donations to Nelson House which exists to provide safety for women and children who are being abused and to work with other groups and individuals toward ending violence against all women. (http://nelsonhouse.on.ca/about-us/ ) and Daisy’s Drop-In Program (a program developed by Carlington Community Health Centre (CHC), in partnership with a dozen local agencies that addresses the needs of street sex trade workers (STW) in the west end of the city of Ottawa) (http://www.carlington.ochc.org/ ). We are looking to include additional community partners at our next swap on Feb. 17th, 2018. Please get in touch with us if you have some ideas. Thks!
We hope people of all genders, abilities, ages, cultures and sexualities feel welcome here. As such, any form of discrimination will not be tolerated. The goal is to make our space more accessible & inclusive. www.houseoftarg.com/safer-space
