Join us on International Women’s Day for a pinball tournament open to all women and gender non-conforming people!
THE MISSION
The goal of this tournament is to help encourage participation of marginalized genders in competitive pinball events, which overall, largely remain attended primarily by men.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Whether this will be your first tournament or you’re a pinball pro, our goal is to create a welcoming and fun environment where you can meet other rad folks who love pinball.
This tournament welcomes:
- ALL skill levels of players
- ALL self-identifying women and gender non-conforming people.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The tournament format will be a 90 min Flipper Frenzy so that we get the chance to play as many games as possible.
COST
- FREE - NO ENTRY FEE
- NO COIN DROP - All games used in the tournament will be set to FREE-PLAY courtesy of Pinball Women Ottawa & House of TARG & Ottawa Pinball.
PRIZES
Lots of prizes will be handed out for top players, participation & some other fun categories. Prizes Courtesy of:

INCLUDES ENTRY TO FREE-PLAY SUNDAY
All tournament participants will be granted FREE entry to a special INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY edition of FREE-PLAY SUNDAY starting at 8pm. DJ Val Halla will be assembling a team of RAD women DJs to provide the soundtrack to your Hi-Score pursuits.

*Notes on accessibility: Please be advised that there is a large/steep set of stairs upon entrance at the House of Targ (no elevator). Once in the venue, there are (gendered) washrooms on the same floor, each with a wider stall (no grab rails). The bar and kitchen are also on the same floor, and there are bar stools, tables and chairs without arms for seating. If you are taking public transit, the #6 and #7 stop right in front of the venue. The best place for parking is along the cross street, Sunnyside. Also, please be aware that pinball machines can be overstimulating for some people, as there can be bright flashing lights and lots of noise. We ask that people avoid wearing strong scents, but we cannot guarantee a scent free environment. The tournament will be run in English, but can also be translated into French if required. Unfortunately, there will be no ASL interpretation available at this time. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact the hosts.
Unwind after the tournament at FREEPLAY SUNDAY: IWD Edition - all pins & vids set to FreePlay plus DJ Val Halla, DJ Steph & DJ Mama Shu will be spinning the soundtrack to your high-score pursuits. ADMISSION CHARGE FREE FOR ALL TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANTS!
