THUNDER UNCLE (Ottawa Metal)Formed as a side project by friends playing in various Ottawa bands who had a passion for, but no outlet for their inner hard rock demons. Members have been active in the Ottawa music scene since the early 80's, playing in a variety of bands including seminal Ottawa punk bands Fluid Waffle, Furnaceface and Neanderthal Sponge. The debut release from the band is planned for late 2016 and will include sessions from 2015 and 2016. While there is a plethora of influences within the band, the sound has evolved into a hybrid of NWOBHM and the hard rock scene in the Scandinavian countries in the late 90's.
