DEATH COMMANDO (Chicago Cosmic Synthwave by Jason Letkiewicz aka Steve Summers, L.I.E.S. Recs)
Chicago based lo-fi techno hero Jason Letkiewicz (aka Steve Summers/Confused House) is back under the Death Commando alias - with his second long player which follows up 2016's R.I.P. Current. Taking its cues from '80s horror soundtracks, Letkiewicz delivers yet more of his unashamedly retro antics, conjuring those ghosts from the analogue machines. It's best heard on the slow burning and John Carpenter-esque "Military Roads" the frantic neon-lit groove of "A Vague Unease" or the seductive noir-house of the title track.

Sean P H Campbell introduces an almost athletic approach to his bizarre brand of techno. Only an octopus could be equipped to do what pH pulls off - his performances are frantic & anxiety inducing. Samples fused with live instrumentation, crunchy analog bliss & wizard like technique define the pH sound. Super fun to watch & impossible to stand still to. Fist pumping hi energy!
