THE GRUESOMES (Mtl Garage Rock est. 1985)
The GRUESOMES are a Canadian garage-rock band that began in 1985 and quickly established themselves as pacesetters in the genre. Through decades of touring and recording they have gained a loyal fan following and critical respect in the underground rock scenes of the Americas and Europe. They are known for high-energy live shows and a raw, retro sound that draws inspiration from 1960s garage rock and British Invasion bands --- with catchy hooks, fuzzy guitar riffs, and driving rhythms. We are lucky to have them for one night at TARG just ahead of their summer tour of Italy, Spain, and Austria.
